Scope International’s Use of ArisGlobal’s Clinical Data Management Platform Proves the Value of a Unified Solution

CRO Unlocks True Value of EDC, ePRO and RTSM Through Unified Clinical Data Management Solution

STAMFORD, CT— 5 November, 2014 — Scope International AG, a global, full-service contract research organization (CRO) is reaffirming its three-year relationship with ArisGlobal with two additional studies in its use of the Total Clinical™ Data Management (TCDM) cloud-based platform for unified clinical data management. Scope International is currently using the TCDM platform for electronic data capture (EDC), electronic patient reported outcomes (ePRO), and randomization as well as trial supply management (RTSM) in a double-blind, randomized study that spans 36 countries with more than 180 active sites.

Scope International has benefited from quicker and more cost-effective study deployment and real-time data consolidation without the pain of integration. The platform delivers many benefits including reduction of spend on trial supplies, increased trial data accuracy and the elimination of the cost and time required in additional vendor selection. It effectively overcomes the challenges of integration while opening the door to cutting edge data management processes that ultimately result in accelerated clinical development programs.

“The biggest benefit of this system is the combined working platform, meaning all solutions are on the same platform within one database.” Stated Klaus-Peter Barth, Vice President, Global Operations from Scope International. “No further data imports and database consolidation between the several e-solutions is necessary. At the end you will get one clinical database. This has been one of the major challenges working with other providers and systems, where the inter e-solution compatibility has often been rather poor.”

Scope International has worked closely the ArisGlobal development team to ensure that TCDM is meeting its requirements for an electronic case report form (e-CRF) with embedded interactive web response system (IWRS), RTSM and ePRO.

“From the very beginning, we have been impressed with the unified software architecture, especially that all solutions are embedded on the same platform, which enables easy cross referencing, easy data transfer and data checks”, added Klaus-Peter Barth, Vice President, Global Operations from Scope International. “We are very pleased with the collaborative philosophy of the ArisGlobal working team, which has always been precise, as they react and solve on-demand issues in time and are entirely dedicated to delivering the best possible solution for their customers.”

“Unified clinical data management is an essential element for accelerating clinical development programs”, stated Simon Sparkes, Executive Vice President, Product Strategy, ArisGlobal. “Companies like Scope International are the visionaries that take full advantage of leading technology to transform and move clinical development to the next level, and we are delighted to be working with them”.
